Keep the world alive!
Overblogging today...sorry!
But - I have the time and so things have to be done.
A while back, my old bass playing mate asked if I could help out and record a part that he wrote out a couple of decades ago.
Knowing he was a fine bassist (and like all good musicians, you rarely see each other as everyone is working!) I said "Cool.".
Of course, this means the part was going to be well thought out and I had to do it some kind of justice.
I used his old GB Spitfire which I had aqquired (see GEAR page) and did an ok take given my time at the time.
The end product is very good with fine vocals from Simon Foster, the awesome John Humphreys on Drums, the uiquitous James Dean on guitar and a host of others.
As usual - I'm out of my league!!
It was very of it's time, and it's definetly very of NOW.
Check it out - it's really good and I'm once again, humbled to be asked to help out.
Watch out for a two-handed tapping piece on bass he has entrusted me with....I'm practising right now - inbetween blogs.
